Mike began managing The Coin Purse in Green Hills from 1978 to 1991. The store, originally founded by his parents, Jim and Margaret Gambill, in 1968, quickly became a cornerstone for collectors and enthusiasts in the community. In 1993, Mike purchased The Coin Purse from his father and has continued to operate it in Green Hills as the proud owner.
Under Mike’s leadership, The Coin Purse has thrived, offering an extensive collection of rare coins, expert appraisals, and invaluable insights into the world of numismatics. His dedication to the industry has also seen him perform appraisals for various state and federal agencies, further cementing his status as a respected authority in the field.
